"The Tale of the Travelling Leftovers" (Blog #3)

I originally decided that I would write each week day but I have to throw that way too ambitious thought right out the window! Totally not realistic but I will not let my expectations of myself discourage me (a few days a week is better than nothing!) This is the time to mention that I do have many days where I just don't feel physically well. Struggling with neck and back pain from 4 whiplash injuries (the last being this past July), symptoms of a weaker immune system and add in the emotional affects of a decrease in hormones from menopause and that for sure is criteria for working at home! Speaking of hormones, I can really relate to a scene in the movie "Julia and Julia" where the young Julia is laying on the floor having an emotional meltdown after she drops a chicken on the floor. I certainly have felt like doing exactly the same thing when I have been trying to learn many new skills on the computer and marketing online! At times like this when the frustration level is high, I have to remember though that I am fearfully and wonderfully made by a God who loves me. He has a plan to prosper me - I just hope it happens soon! I am very grateful to HIM that in spite of having had poor health most of my life, I have had much better health this past year. With the help of an amazing chiropractor and Aim products my health has improved to the point where I haven't had any days this year that I was "sick in bed". My health challenges have been a significant consideration in choosing to work at home. If I was working in a traditional job, I definitely would not win the employee of the year award for attendance. But lets get on with the continuation of the story "The Tale of the Travelling Leftovers". My Aunt decided that a call to action was necessary for her peace of mind. She was so concerned about the contents of the black "suitcase" left in her backyard that she called the police and a young officer arrived at her home. The officer listened to her story and much to my aunt's horror, proceeded to open the zippered section of the black cooler to find inside a white grocery bag with a note on it from us. He asked if my aunt if she recognized the names on the bag as well as the food inside the containers. You can well imagine my aunt's surprise to see the rice salad she had enjoyed the day before along with mashed potatoes, turkey, vegetables and a chocolate bliss ball. To the credit of the young officer, he controlled himself from breaking out in hysterical laughter but we can well imagine the report he gave when he returned to the police station! My aunt was very upset that she hadn't known ahead of time about the gift of the "Travelling Leftovers"! Hope you had a good chuckle ... back to work, but please view my websites at: wwwlaidoffneedpay.com or wwwgaylehafner.com. Have a great day!
